Today, more than 70% of people with diabetis live in low and middle income countries. Largest number of diabetics as much as 50.8 million people are estimated to be in India, followed by China with 43.2 million. The age group most affected by diabetes who are between 40-59 years. In 2030 is predicted to move into the 60-79 age group with 196 million cases. Diabetes is one of the main causes of premature illness and death worldwide. Disease is not contagious but causes 60% of all deaths worldwide.
